DPU/Bus drivers Card
Current copy of driving record can be obtained from RMV within last 30 days
Must Pass CORI
NO DUI's or moving violations in the last 3 years

As a bus driver, your major responsibilities will be to: drive one of several different-sized buses in a safe, courteous and reliable manner throughout the service area within a daily assigned time schedule, perform pre / post trip vehicle inspections, stop at designated points to load and unload passengers, assist in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly secure wheelchairs and scooters, notify dispatch of deviations, accidents, passenger incidents, or bus mechanical / electrical trouble, advise passengers of rules and regulations when necessary, complete and submit written reports concerning passengers and all accidents, and record and track your hours of service via an ELD.

Bus driver job requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and possess a CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement. Must have a DPU or school bus card, valid medical card signed by an FMCSA-approved medical provider, RMV driving record dated within 30 days from interview (go online to the RMV and purchase an unattested copy for $6.00), second form of ID, Social Security card, birth certificate or a passport, excellent communication and customer service skills, no moving violation within the past three years, and no previous DUI.
